Reliance and Google Team Up to Give Jio Users Free Gemini Pro AI Access

Under this initiative, Jio users aged 18–25 who are on Unlimited 5G prepaid or postpaid plans starting from ₹349 will automatically qualify for the complimentary AI access. The program is part of a broader collaboration between Reliance and Google aimed at integrating advanced AI tools into everyday life for Indian consumers.

“This partnership is a step toward making world-class AI tools accessible to young Indians,” said a Reliance spokesperson. “By providing free access to Gemini Pro, we are enabling students and young professionals to explore AI applications, enhance their skills, and participate in the AI-driven digital economy.”

Gemini Pro, Google’s cutting-edge AI service, is designed to offer chat, content creation, coding support, and productivity assistance, making it a versatile tool for education, work, and personal projects. The 18-month free access ensures that eligible users can fully explore the platform without incurring additional costs.

Industry analysts note that the collaboration is expected to accelerate AI adoption in India, especially among younger users who are increasingly relying on digital tools for learning and career development.

“Reliance and Google are setting a precedent in the Indian telecom and technology space by bundling AI services with mobile connectivity,” said Anil Mehta, a tech analyst based in Mumbai. “This could encourage other service providers to integrate advanced AI tools into consumer offerings.”

Eligible Jio subscribers can activate their free Gemini Pro access through the MyJio app, where detailed instructions and support will be provided. The partnership marks another milestone in Reliance’s strategy to combine its telecommunications reach with cutting-edge technology solutions, helping shape India’s AI landscape.
