Toll Revenue Poised to Hit Record High in FY26, Driven by Rajasthan, UP and Maharashtra

Toll collections across India are expected to touch a record high in the financial year 2025–26, reflecting steady growth in highway traffic and infrastructure expansion. Leading the surge are Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, which have reported strong revenue performance due to increased vehicular movement and the addition of new toll-operated stretches.

The rise in toll revenue is being attributed to improved road connectivity, higher freight activity, and expanding national highway networks. Officials indicate that continued investments in road infrastructure and the implementation of digital tolling systems have also contributed to enhanced efficiency and reduced leakages.

Industry experts believe that sustained economic activity and rising transport demand could further strengthen toll collections in the coming quarters, reinforcing the sector’s role in funding infrastructure development nationwide.
