Army Chief Dwivedi Calls for Strict Measures Against Terrorism at Chanakya Defence Dialogue
Delhi, November 21, 2025 – Indian Army Chief General Dwivedi emphasized the need for strict measures to combat terrorism during his address at the inaugural Chanakya Defence Dialogue in Delhi. Speaking on the importance of a strong and proactive defense, the General highlighted India’s readiness to counter evolving threats in modern warfare.
"While India stands for progress and peace, strict steps are necessary to stop those who spread terror," said General Dwivedi.
The Army Chief also shed light on India’s evolving defense strategies, describing the shift toward fifth-generation warfare. He noted that decisions in modern conflict now need to be executed within hours, rather than days, and that the nation must be prepared to deploy its full strength rapidly if required.
“True strength lies in the enemy’s belief that any misstep will be met with immediate action. Today, India’s defense capabilities are so robust that our intentions are taken seriously by adversaries,” he added.
Key Highlights from General Dwivedi’s Speech:
