Andhra Pradesh RTGS Minister Nara Lokesh is overseeing relief efforts and has traveled to the site, government sources reported. Officials noted that the temple is privately managed and not under the state Endowments Department. They also highlighted that the organizers did not secure the necessary permissions for the gathering and that the area where the crowd gathered was still under construction.
Expressing condolences on social media, Minister Lokesh said: “The stampede at Kasibugga Venkateswara Temple, which claimed the lives of several devotees, is deeply tragic. Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased. Immediate medical care is being provided to the injured. I have instructed local authorities to extend full support to the victims.”
