The year 2025 was one of high visibility for India on the global stage. From high-profile summits and diplomatic engagements to ambitious economic targets and strategic posturing, India remained firmly in the international spotlight. Yet, beyond the applause, photo-ops, and podium speeches, the year also raised difficult questions about how far ambition translated into outcomes.

India projected itself as a confident power—an economy on the rise, a voice of the Global South, and a critical player in a shifting world order.
