Delhi PG Horror: Woman’s Body Discovered Hidden in Bed Box, Three Suspects Taken into Custody
A chilling crime has rocked Mangolpuri, New Delhi, where the lifeless body of a woman was discovered inside the storage compartment of a double bed at a paying guest accommodation. Authorities have arrested three suspects, including the victim’s alleged lover, as the investigation into this brutal act intensifies.
The woman, identified as 35-year-old Priya Verma, was last seen by her colleagues the previous evening. Police received an anonymous tip leading them to her PG room, where the body was found concealed inside the bed box.
“This is a premeditated act,” said ACP Rakesh Singh, leading the investigation. “All three arrested individuals are cooperating, and we are exploring every angle, including personal disputes and prior conflicts.”
Delhi Police revealed that forensic teams were deployed immediately to collect evidence, and CCTV footage from nearby streets is being scrutinized to reconstruct the movements of the suspects.
Neighbors and PG residents described the incident as shocking. “It’s terrifying to think something like this could happen right in our building,” said Anita Sharma, a resident in Mangolpuri. “We hope the police act quickly.”
Law enforcement officials confirmed that preliminary inquiries indicate a possible personal dispute escalating into murder, with the victim’s alleged lover playing a central role in the crime.
“Our priority is to ensure justice is served swiftly,” said ACP Singh. “We are coordinating with forensic experts and cyber investigators to verify communications and digital evidence.”
The case has prompted the Delhi Police to reassess safety protocols at paying guest accommodations across the capital, highlighting vulnerabilities in such living arrangements.
