Father Accused of Killing 4-Year-Old Son in Hyderabad: Head Smashed Against Pillar, Child Dies After 4 Days

A horrifying case of alleged child abuse and violence has emerged from Hyderabad, where a four-year-old boy died after suffering severe head injuries. Police have accused the child's father, identified as Salman, of brutally assaulting him.

According to the preliminary investigation, the accused allegedly first attempted to push the child under a moving DCM lorry. He then allegedly took the child near Pillar No. 104, held him by the legs and repeatedly smashed his head against the pillar.

The child suffered severe injuries, including a fracture to the skull, and was rushed to hospital for treatment. He remained in critical condition and battled for his life for around four days. However, despite medical treatment, the child eventually died.

Dispute With Wife Before the Incident

Police investigation has reportedly revealed that Salman had an argument with his wife, Rukhsana Begum, on the night before the incident.

According to the allegations, Salman was under the influence of alcohol during the dispute and had also allegedly assaulted his wife and mother.

Investigators are now examining whether the family dispute and the accused's alleged intoxication played a role in the subsequent attack on the child.

Police Initially Registered Attempt to Murder Case

After the child was seriously injured, police initially registered a case against Salman under attempt to murder provisions.

Following the child's death, the case has taken a more serious turn. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, the nature of the child's injuries and the events leading up to the alleged assault.

The investigation will also establish the exact sequence of events and determine the appropriate charges against the accused.

The case has sparked shock because the victim was only four years old. The investigation is now focused on establishing what happened that day and what led to the alleged attack on the child.
