Former AIIMS Chief Warns of Delhi Air Pollution; ED Targets Anil Ambani

Former AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria has issued a stern health advisory as Delhi’s air quality continues to deteriorate, remaining in the ‘very poor’ category. He cautioned that individuals with respiratory issues, elderly citizens, and children are at high risk and advised vulnerable populations to consider temporarily relocating from the city or taking strict preventive measures such as using N95 masks and avoiding outdoor activities. Authorities have reported a surge in hospital visits due to respiratory distress and related ailments, with doctors urging immediate action to mitigate exposure to hazardous air pollutants.

In a separate development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified scrutiny on businessman Anil Ambani, probing alleged irregularities in financial transactions linked to his companies. The ongoing investigation reportedly involves detailed examination of foreign fund transfers, loans, and corporate dealings, with officials emphasizing that the inquiry is aimed at ensuring compliance with Indian financial and anti-money laundering laws. These simultaneous developments underscore concerns over both public health and financial accountability in the national spotlight.
