Meet Sara Arjun: The 20-Year-Old Dhurandhar Star Winning Hearts with Ranveer Singh
Mumbai, November 21, 2025 – At just 20, Sara Arjun is already making waves in Bollywood, and her latest role in Aditya Dhar’s highly anticipated film Dhurandhar is proving why. The young actress, who has been called a “prodigy” by her co-star Ranveer Singh, is capturing attention for her poise, talent, and natural screen presence.
Speaking at the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai, Ranveer Singh lauded Sara’s abilities, comparing her to Hollywood star Dakota Fanning. “Sara here is a prodigy. You just know some people are prodigies since childhood,” he said. “It feels like she has done 50 films before this. She is one of the finest actors I have shared the screen with.”
A Journey That Began Early
Born in 2005 to actor Raj Arjun, known for his acclaimed role in Secret Superstar, and dance teacher Sanya Arjun, Sara literally grew up in front of the camera. Her career began at just 18 months old with a TV commercial. By age five, she had appeared in over 100 advertisements for brands including Maggi, McDonald’s, and LIC, quickly becoming one of India’s most recognizable child actors.
Her breakout role came at six when she starred opposite Tamil superstar Vikram in Deiva Thirumagal (2011), portraying his daughter Nila. Sara’s early work laid a foundation for her versatility and screen confidence.
From Child Actor to Leading Lady
Sara continued to impress audiences with performances in films like Saivam (2014) and Bollywood’s Ek Thi Daayan (2013). She later appeared in Saand Ki Aankh (2019), Toolsidas Junior (2022), and the anthology Ajeeb Daastaans (2021). Most recently, she portrayed the younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character Nandini in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, earning praise for her maturity and grace.
With Dhurandhar, Sara steps confidently into her first major adult role. Alongside Ranveer Singh and a dynamic production team, she is poised to cement her place as one of Bollywood’s most promising young talents.
