According to investigators, the crime is believed to have been triggered by tensions linked to a suspected love triangle.
Police sources said the accused allegedly drove the victim’s body across districts before attempting to burn and dump it in a remote area. The matter came to light following an investigation that tracked movements and gathered forensic and digital evidence.
Authorities have registered a case and are continuing their probe to establish the exact sequence of events and motive. The incident has sparked concern due to the involvement of a serving police personnel in the alleged crime.
