“Rajya Sabha to Discuss Electoral Reforms Today: Focus on SIR and Voter Transparency”

The Rajya Sabha is set to resume debate on electoral reforms today as part of the Winter Session of Parliament, bringing renewed focus to the issue after lively discussions in the Lok Sabha. The deliberations are expected to include major parties debating proposals related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, election laws, and other reform measures ahead of future polls.

Today’s agenda in the Rajya Sabha includes a continuation of discussions on making India’s electoral system more robust and transparent. Leaders from various parties are scheduled to contribute to the debate, with opposition members raising questions about SIR and government representatives responding with their perspectives.
