Zareen Khan Opens Up on Trolls, Mum’s Health & Why She Skipped Bigg Boss 19
Bollywood actress digs deep on social media abuse, family priorities and career moves
Mumbai | Pudvi Times:
Zareen Khan, the actor who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer, has recently been candid about three major facets of her life: incessant online trolling, her mother’s ill health, and her decision to opt out of the reality TV show Bigg Boss 19.
Trolls, Bots & Instagram Anguish
Zareen took to Instagram Stories to share her frustration with what she describes as “disgusting comments” on her posts — even on personal moments such as her mother’s hospitalisation. She questioned whether the barrage of messages like “Need a boyfriend? Boys come over” were from real users or bots.
“Koi samjhaao please... Aur kya aap logo ke saath bhi yeh ho raha hai?” she asked her followers.
Her openness is drawing attention to the pressure faced by actors in the digital age and highlighting the need for stronger online accountability.
Family First: Mum’s Health & Career Pause
The actress revealed that she had taken a step back from full‑fledged film commitments due to her mother’s ill health. Zareen thanked well‑wishers after announcing on Instagram that her mother was now “much better” and being discharged from hospital.
The break has allowed her to regroup, dive back into fitness and dance training, and ponder the next chapter of her career.
Turning Down Bigg Boss 19: Why She Said No
Despite her ties with Salman Khan (who hosts Bigg Boss), Zareen declined a participation offer for Bigg Boss 19. Her reason? A blunt admission: she’s “not the type to live in a house full of strangers” and wouldn’t tolerate misbehaviour. She also cited her existing commitments which she couldn’t abandon for a 3‑month reality stint.
The move has won her praise from fans who see it as a stand for personal integrity over TV stardom.
What’s Next for Zareen?
While she hasn’t publicly announced a major film launch yet, Zareen hinted at upcoming projects and suggested that with her mother now better, she’s ready to re‑enter the spotlight. Earlier she mentioned training in Kathak and preparing for roles across languages.
