Trump’s Secret Flight Amid Iran Threat: Moved in Catering Truck to Military Jet After Turkey Visit

A surprising new detail has emerged about US President Donald Trump’s journey from Turkey to Britain during the NATO summit. According to a Washington Post report, Trump secretly boarded a US military aircraft after leaving Ankara, amid heightened security concerns linked to threats from Iran.

Trump had travelled to Turkey for the NATO summit aboard a newly renovated aircraft donated by Qatar. The trip marked the plane’s first international journey. However, when Trump left Ankara, the travel arrangements reportedly took an unexpected turn.

Trump was seen boarding the older, familiar Air Force One in front of cameras. Journalists and members of the travelling press were reportedly led to believe that the president would fly to Britain aboard that aircraft.

But according to the report, Trump was later secretly transferred from the airport area to a smaller military aircraft. He was reportedly moved using an airport catering truck before being taken to a US Air Force C-32A, a smaller aircraft commonly used for senior government officials.

The C-32A then flew to Britain and arrived at RAF Mildenhall at around 10:20 pm. The older Air Force One, carrying members of the media and other staff, arrived only minutes later.

The unusual arrangement reportedly came as tensions with Iran were escalating. Turkey's location also made security concerns particularly significant, as the country shares a border with Iran.

Before the revelation of the secret flight, Trump had posted on Truth Social that he would use the older baby-blue Air Force One to travel from Ankara to RAF Mildenhall "for old time's sake." The newer Qatar-donated aircraft was also scheduled to travel to the same British airbase so that US service members stationed there could tour the plane.

The discovery that Trump had actually travelled separately aboard a third aircraft has raised fresh questions about the security measures surrounding the new presidential aircraft and the way the president's international movements are protected.

The White House did not provide detailed information about the secret flight. Instead, Communications Director Steve Cheung emphasized that the Qatar-donated aircraft had been equipped with high-level security protocols designed to protect the president and his staff.

Cheung also pointed to the broader security threats facing the US president, saying that there are "many enemies of America" who have him in their sights and that the administration uses every available tool to address those threats.

The Pentagon did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the reported secret flight.

The episode highlights the extraordinary security arrangements surrounding presidential travel. While cameras captured Trump boarding the older Air Force One in Ankara, his actual movement to Britain reportedly took place through a much more discreet route.

The biggest unanswered question is whether the secret C-32A flight was specifically ordered because of an Iranian threat or was part of a broader presidential security protocol. The White House has not publicly disclosed the full details of the operation.

The revelation also puts renewed attention on the security of the newly renovated aircraft donated by Qatar. Although officials have insisted that the plane has extensive security protections, Trump's decision to use a different aircraft for part of the journey is likely to fuel further questions about presidential travel and security during periods of heightened geopolitical tension.
