Mercury Crosses 30°C in Several UP Districts, 2–3°C Rise Expected Soon
Daytime temperatures have crossed the 30°C mark in multiple districts of Uttar Pradesh, with the weather department forecasting a further rise of 2–3°C in the coming days.
Several districts across Uttar Pradesh have recorded daytime temperatures above 30°C, signaling an early surge in heat conditions across the state. The steady rise in mercury has led to warmer afternoons, especially in central and western regions.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures are likely to increase by another 2–3°C over the next few days due to clear skies and dry northwesterly winds. The absence of significant western disturbances has contributed to the warming trend.
Major cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Varanasi have already reported above-normal daytime readings. While nights remain relatively moderate, experts warn that continued temperature rise could intensify heat discomfort, particularly during peak afternoon hours.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and follow official weather updates as the state gradually transitions toward pre-summer conditions.
