On Camera: Punjab Gangster Flees in Speeding Thar, Rams Into Coconut Seller Before Police Catch Him

Ludhiana: Dramatic CCTV footage from Punjab's Ludhiana has captured the moment a speeding Thar allegedly being driven by a wanted gangster crashed into a coconut seller while the accused was trying to escape from the police.

The incident took place in the Sundar Nagar area of Ludhiana, where the young coconut vendor was standing beside his cart and cutting a coconut for a customer.

Suddenly, a speeding Thar came rushing down the road and smashed into the cart. The impact sent the vendor flying several feet into the air, while his cart was thrown to the other side of the road.

Gangster Was Fleeing From Police

According to reports, the Faridkot Special Task Force (STF) received information that wanted gangster Gurpreet Singh was present in Ludhiana.

Following the information, three STF vehicles reportedly began chasing the accused. As the police closed in on him near Sundar Nagar, Gurpreet allegedly accelerated the Thar in an attempt to escape.

The CCTV footage shows the vehicle speeding through the road before crashing directly into the coconut seller and his cart.

Police Continue Chase After Crash

Despite the collision, the driver reportedly did not stop and continued fleeing from the spot.

The police vehicles continued the pursuit and eventually managed to apprehend the alleged gangster a short distance away.

Reports also suggest that some of his associates have been detained by the police. Authorities are now investigating the criminal records of the accused and those allegedly linked to him.

Coconut Seller Injured

The coconut seller suffered injuries in the collision and was taken to a hospital with assistance from the Ludhiana Police.

He is currently undergoing treatment.

The shocking CCTV footage of the incident has drawn attention to the dangerous manner in which the accused allegedly attempted to evade arrest, putting the lives of people on a busy road at risk.

The police investigation into the gangster and his associates is underway.
