Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra is “stable and doing well”, his daughter Esha Deol confirmed on Monday, putting an end to widespread social media rumours about the actor’s health and alleged demise.
False reports about the 88-year-old actor’s death began circulating on X (formerly Twitter) and WhatsApp earlier in the day, prompting concern among fans and industry colleagues.
Taking to Instagram, Esha Deol urged everyone not to believe unverified news.
“My father is absolutely fine and stable. Please don’t spread or believe such baseless rumours. Thank you all for your concern and love,” she wrote.
Family sources told Pudvi Times that Dharmendra had been under routine medical observation recently but is not in any critical condition. “He is recovering well and resting at home,” a family friend confirmed.
Fans of the legendary star, known for his iconic roles in Sholay, Chupke Chupke, and Phool Aur Patthar, took to social media to express relief after Esha’s clarification.
Dharmendra, who continues to remain active in public life, was last seen in Karan Johar’s film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani (2023), where he played a pivotal role alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
