BJP Minister Alleges Drug-Rape Racket Targeting Hindu Girls in Hyderabad
Claims police inaction and AIMIM influence in Old City amid rising concerns for minors’ safety
HYDERABAD – Union Minister and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay has alleged the existence of a drug-rape racket targeting Hindu minor girls in Hyderabad’s Old City, raising concerns over law and order and police accountability.
Speaking to the media, Sanjay accused certain local groups of shielding criminal activities, claiming that minor girls were being lured with drugs and sexually exploited. He also alleged that AIMIM influence and police negligence contributed to the persistence of the racket.
“We demand immediate action from the state government and police to investigate and curb this heinous activity. The safety of minors is paramount,” he said.
While authorities have acknowledged the complaint, police officials stated that investigations are underway, and assured that no community would be singled out while probing the case.
Social activists and child protection organizations have called for urgent intervention, better policing, and stricter laws to safeguard minors, emphasizing the need for community awareness and preventive measures.
The incident has sparked a political controversy, with the BJP criticizing the Telangana government over law enforcement, while the state administration has promised full inquiry and action against perpetrators.
