Haryana Bets Big on Startups as CM Nayab Saini Pushes Vision for Next-Generation Entrepreneurs

Haryana is intensifying efforts to emerge as a leading hub for startups and innovation as Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled the state’s vision for supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs. In a recent interaction, the chief minister highlighted Haryana’s focus on technology, industrial growth and youth-led business opportunities aimed at transforming the state into a competitive investment destination.

According to the state government, new policies are being designed to encourage startups, simplify business approvals and attract private investment across sectors such as manufacturing, information technology, logistics, electric vehicles and agri-tech. Officials believe Haryana’s proximity to the National Capital Region gives it a strategic advantage for building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The government is also planning to strengthen startup incubation centres, skill development programmes and financial support systems for young founders. Special emphasis is being placed on helping students and first-time entrepreneurs convert innovative ideas into scalable businesses through mentorship and funding opportunities.

Chief Minister Nayab Saini said the state aims to create an environment where startups can grow without unnecessary administrative hurdles. He stressed the importance of digital infrastructure, industrial connectivity and employment generation as key pillars of Haryana’s long-term economic strategy.

Industry experts say Haryana has already witnessed rapid industrial growth over the past decade, particularly in sectors linked to automobiles, technology and manufacturing. Gurugram, often referred to as one of India’s major corporate and startup centres, continues to attract global firms and emerging businesses alike.

The state government also hopes that improving ease of doing business rankings and expanding infrastructure projects will encourage more domestic and international companies to invest in Haryana. Analysts believe competition among Indian states to attract startups has increased sharply, with governments now offering incentives, subsidies and policy support to build innovation-driven economies.

Youth employment remains another major focus area behind the state’s startup push. Officials say encouraging entrepreneurship can create new job opportunities and reduce dependence on traditional employment sectors, particularly among educated young people.

The government is expected to announce additional startup-focused initiatives and policy reforms in the coming months as part of its broader economic development agenda.
