Dr. Eric Vivek Mazumdar is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences and Economics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

He joined the Board of Biocon Limited in November 2021 as a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director. His research explores the intersection of engineering, economics, and machine learning, focusing on how algorithms can be used in real-world systems to improve societal outcomes.

Eric completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, after earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
