The event, unfolding on the highly auspicious occasion of Vivaah Panchami, marks a major milestone—the symbolic completion of Ram Mandir’s construction, a project of immense cultural, spiritual, and national significance.

Auspicious Day, Grand Moment

The Dhwaja Rohan ceremony, regarded as one of the most sacred rituals in temple traditions, involves hoisting a monumental saffron flag atop the sanctum.

PM Modi is scheduled to welcome and greet the people of Ayodhya upon arrival, before proceeding to the temple premises where, at around 12 noon, he will hoist the 10-foot-high, 20-foot-long triangular saffron flag on the temple’s apex.

The ceremony signifies the formal sanctification and readiness of the Ram Temple, ushering in a new chapter in the city’s spiritual heritage.

Top Leaders to Attend: Bhagwat & Yogi in Witness

The event will be graced by key dignitaries, including:

  • RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, who has played a pivotal role in the movement surrounding the Ram Temple
  • Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has overseen Ayodhya’s large-scale transformation

Their presence underscores the moment’s cultural and historical magnitude.

In anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit, Ayodhya has been adorned with:

  • Intricate rangolis along major pathways
  • Saffron flags and decorative lights illuminating the streets
  • Enhanced security arrangements, with multi-layered protection around temple premises
  • Mass gatherings of devotees, many chanting Ram bhajans and awaiting the ceremony

Local officials say thousands of pilgrims from across the country have already begun arriving, with the footfall expected to peak by noon.

A Moment for the History Books

Today’s Dhwaja Rohan marks more than a ritual—it symbolizes:

  • The culmination of decades of devotion and anticipation
  • The beginning of a new era for Ayodhya as a global spiritual destination
  • A unifying moment blending tradition, faith, and national sentiment

As Vivaah Panchami celebrates the divine wedding of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, the timing of the ceremony adds an even deeper layer of cultural significance.
