"NSE and BSE Closed on Guru Nanak Jayanti 2025; MCX Morning Session Suspended"
The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will be closed on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 in observance of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Trading across all segments — equities, derivatives, currency derivatives, securities lending and borrowing — is suspended for the day.
For the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), the morning session will be closed, but the evening session is expected to remain open from 5:00 pm onwards.
Traders and investors should note that this holiday implies no settlement or trading activity will be possible on this date in the closed segments.
