According to official sources, the checking of answer sheets will be carried out in a phased manner across designated evaluation centres in different regions. Teachers appointed as examiners will be trained and briefed on updated marking schemes before the process begins.

This year, CBSE continues to focus on competency-based assessment, meaning a larger portion of questions will be evaluated on analytical thinking and application-based responses rather than rote memorisation. This shift is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 reforms.

Board officials have also emphasized strict confidentiality and security measures during the evaluation process to ensure fairness and transparency in results. Digital monitoring systems and centralized coordination will be used to track progress and reduce delays.

Students who appeared for the exams are advised to remain patient and regularly check the official CBSE website for updates regarding evaluation timelines and result announcements. The results for both Class 10 and Class 12 are expected to be released in May 2026, although the board has not yet confirmed an exact date.

Education experts suggest that the phased evaluation approach may help streamline the result declaration process and reduce errors, ensuring timely publication of scores for millions of students across India.
