Odisha largely escaped severe damage. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said only minor landslides and a few uprooted trees were reported. Precautionary measures remained in force, and the state avoided major disruption.

Heavy Rains in Telangana

Telangana experienced heavy downpours, with Redlawada in Warangal recording 183 mm of rainfall. The IMD issued a red alert for Warangal, Mahabubabad, and Hanumakonda, warning of extremely heavy rain, thunderstorms, and winds up to 50 kmph.

·         Nearly 500 students were rescued from a residential school in Nalgonda.

·         Rail services disrupted due to waterlogging at Dornakal station, with cancellations and diversions.
