Saudi Arabia Breaks Barriers: 328 Female Security Recruits Graduate to Frontline Roles

Saudi Arabia has taken a bold step toward gender inclusion in its security forces. The Interior Ministry’s Public Security Directorate recently celebrated the graduation of 328 female recruits from the Basic Individual Qualification Course at the Women’s Training Institute.

The graduation ceremony, held under the patronage of Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, was attended by senior officials including Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security. The recruits showcased their skills through ceremonial drills and demonstrations, reflecting the rigorous theoretical and practical training they underwent to prepare for frontline duties.

This milestone is part of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes women’s empowerment and broader participation in national development. By integrating women into security services, the Kingdom is not only modernizing its defense structure but also reshaping traditional gender roles.

Officials highlighted that the inclusion of women in frontline security positions will strengthen national resilience, diversify the workforce, and enhance public trust. The move is widely seen as a turning point for women’s empowerment in Saudi Arabia, opening doors for greater participation in critical national roles.
