Schools Closed on 26 November in Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Puducherry Due to Heavy Rain; Winter Vacations Begin in Some States
New Delhi, India – As local winter holidays begin across several states, heavy rainfall triggered by Cyclone Senyar has forced authorities to close schools in parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry today, November 26. While November 26 is widely observed as Constitution Day across India, it is not a public holiday. Many schools conduct special events on the day, but classes are generally held as usual. However, extreme weather conditions in the southern coastal regions have disrupted normal schedules.
